Microsoft ClearType is an unprecedented innovation in font display technology that dramatically improves font display resolution and marks a genuine breakthrough in screen readability.

Per attivare il ClearType anche nella schermata di Logon bisogna procedere con la modifica del registro di Windows.
Dal registro di Windows modificare le seguenti chiavi: 

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\FontSmoothing (di tipo STRINGA)

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\FontSmoothingType (di tipo DWORD)

Assicurarsi che entrambi i valori siano impostati a 2.

In questo modo il ClearType sarà attivato per ogni utente e sulla schermata di Logon di Windows XP
